Oct. 14, Cornerbrook, Newfoundland

Cornerbrook is the largest city in western Newfoundland, about 25,000 people.

Our ship (Regatta, Oceania Cruise Lines)
We got a taxi driver, Martin, to give us a tour of the city.  First stop was at a high point overlooking the city at Captain Cook's Monument-- A memorial monument for Captain James Cook. The lookout has a wonderful view of the city and the Atlantic ocean.

  1. Wow! Those colors are just gorgeous!
So is that Cook guy the same guy who "discovered" (and subsequently colonized) New Zealand?
