Located in Halifax's South End in the Halifax Ocean Terminals, Pier 21 was used as a passenger terminal for trans-Atlantic ocean liners from 1928 until 1971.

We visited the research office at Pier 21 to see the ship arrival records in 1935.  Below is a sample. Allen's grandmother, mother, and aunts are listed here. The ship they arrived on was the Pulaski,  There was accommodation for 30-1st, 260-2nd and 1,086-3rd & 4th class passengers.  it came from Gydnia, Poland to Halifax.
